November 21, 2016

  1. Jessica Bradshaw says:

Becca, my heart breaks for you and your family. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. What a beautiful example of Christ y’all are. Your dad is an incredible man. I will keep you in my prayers. *hugs*

  2. Annabella Abalo says:

It seems like I’m reading my own story in this post only that this happened to me when I was 8 years old with my mom. It’s hard but we should look at the bright side and be thankful still. My prayers are with your family, Rebecca.

  3. Katie Arnold says:

I can’t even imagine, but your truth and heart really show in this post. I am sending so much love to your family and lots of well wishes and support especially for your dad. <3

  4. Divya Budhraja says:

Gosh, I couldn’t do what you’re doing under these circumstances. I’m in awe of your strength and your love. Sending lots and love and well wishes to you and your family. <3

  5. Kim Munoz says:

This takes me back 4 years ago with my Dad. You are right. They are our heros, they aren’t supposed to get sick. He was always trying to cheer me up and give me hope. When he was the one that was sick! Sending strength and prayers to you and your whole family.

  6. Justine Y says:

So sorry for this trial your family is going through, but I love your thoughts here. That picture of you and your dad dancing at your wedding is gorgeous.

  7. Donna says:

I just came across this and I truly admire your grace and peace. Praying for you and your family. <3

  8. Natalie says:

Praying for you and your family, Becca! My father-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and I know the feeling of fear and anger and pain. My husband and I are constantly trying to remember that in all things, God is good. I hope your Thanksgiving holiday is beautiful and you make many cherished memories with your family all together <3

  9. Kaley Taylor says:

    BRB. Crying…
This was super touching and inspirational. Thank you for allowing yourself to be so vulnerable. My dad is my favorite person in this entire world (except for maybe my finacé). It breaks my heart to ever think of him encountering pain or hardship, but now that he’s getting up there in years it’s hard to accept that I’ll soon deal with it as well. :( I hope that the Lord continues to give you and your family comfort during this trying time.

    • I think of that all the time, especially with my grandparents. I hate knowing that someday I’ll have to say “good bye”, but it’s so freeing knowing that I know exactly where He’s going… He’s going Home. Thank you for your support, Kaley!
